Donny and Litao founded mstrmnd with the mission to empower individuals to break free from self-imposed limitations and to grow by overcoming obstacles similar to those Donny faced. In 2021/2022, Donny experienced a difficult period lasting 18 months, marked by the sudden loss of several close family members and his daughter’s diagnosis of Autism.

Overwhelmed by despair, Donny turned his focus towards discovering and implementing a variety of strategies to manage his grief and loss. He embarked on an exploratory journey, testing over 200 different coping methods, achieving varying degrees of success.

Finally, towards the end of 2022, Donny achieved a significant breakthrough. He discovered that a specific combination of techniques aimed at focusing attention, fostering a positive outlook, and concentrating awareness led to a pivotal “Eureka!” moment. This discovery laid the groundwork for what he and Litao would later introduce as mstrmnd’s foundational approach.
